Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) with B.Sc. Aeronautics

A dual program combining technical training with academic knowledge, approved by DGCA and affiliated with the University of Mumbai. 

Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in the B1.1 category possess comprehensive skills in aircraft mechanics. After obtaining the Type Rating for a specific aircraft, they become licensed to perform repair, replacement, or rectification of structure, engine, mechanical systems, electrical, and hydraulic systems for that particular aircraft. This specialisation includes authorisation for avionics systems with simple tests but without troubleshooting. B1.1 license holders are employable in line maintenance as well as major maintenance for their designated aircraft.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with a B2 category specialization are responsible for maintaining avionic systems in airworthiness condition. This includes electrical systems, instrument systems, navigation systems, communication systems, radar systems, and emergency warning systems. B2 engineers may also have limited scope authorisation on mechanical systems.

Eligibility Criteria

10+2 Examination in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English
With Minimum 45% for General Category and 40% for Reserved Category From a recognized board or university or its equivalent.
Diploma
A Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering recognized by the State Technical Education Board.
